Obama Rocks

"We cannot rule by anger"---about wall street banking gurus who dragged economy down
"greed and short term gain" ---about capitalism for last few years

These are few statements by Obama.

This guy Obama is morally intelligent. We need morally intelligent leaders who are not just concerned about rich. We have seen enough of intelligent leaders (minus morals) who ruled the wall street with greed of incentives, fame. Need of the hour is morally intelligent leadership just as demonstrated by Lincoln,Kennedy. They ruled more by heart than mathematics in the head.

Obama's speeches have been full of common sense and exceptionally practical, philosophical. US has been known long for fox hearted foreign policy which it inherited from colonial rulers like UK who divided and ruled the world for centuries(just like caste ism in India). They created Osama, Taliban. They created market for their huge defense industry. They plundered oil from you know where.

But US is also the place where hope appears. Hope in the form of Obama. The shift from hard power of military means to soft power of diplomacy is clearly gaining ground in US approach.

Decoding Life and Death

This is one of my favorite podcasts....like to listen again n again:

I like the example Dr. Eric Hauber gives to define the life as waves on surface of ocean and death as water not on surface but which is still part of ocean ...that means life does not end with death which is essentially part of ocean of life as water under surface ....

Comeback

First post of 2009

* now i can email my blog from mobile and get it published:)...gud thing

* Ravi my last driver became a BMTC driver....people in my village are saying this is one good thing i have done:)...make an underdog win. He was made to look after cows just because he was tenth class fail. I offered him drivers job, forced him to take tenth exams ...clear it. Finally he is a government employee now:)...thats a good thing

* Now Umesh from neighboring village has joined as my driver. His story is that he wanted to be an entrepreneur. He got one Tata Sumo vehicle to run as taxi. Went in to lotteries and burnt all his earnings and ended up with huge loans. Another underdog:)...he has paid off good amount of loan from salaries and he is applying for BMTC driver post. By no means I am in to social service or charity. Just that I am doing well due to IT, I also want some few guys like these who are written off to make a comeback in their own ways.

* Both these guys have been very hard working....no matter what time I call them they are there to take the seat. I am lucky that way. They also do get along well with other family members.
